Cards for the Hunt
← Back to Phasmophobia tools

Deadly Bingo

A card of things the ghost might throw your way over a whole session of contracts, be it a slammed door, a failed smudge, or a teammate lost to a hunt. Add your friends' names so every card's a little personal, then tick them off as they land and hold your nerve to the last cursed square.

How to Play

Deal a card, hunt, and tick things off as they happen. Black out the whole card to win. The rest is luck, and how badly your team panics.

1 Deal a card

Pick how long the card's for, its size, who's playing, and whether it's a drinking card, then hit Deal Card. Your card, ticks and all, is saved in this browser. Refresh or come back hours later and it's exactly as you left it.

2 Two kinds of card
  • 🔦 Single Contract: one investigation. Every square is something that can happen inside a single contract: freezing temps, a slammed door, a failed smudge, somebody dying to a hunt.
  • 🌙 Session: a whole night. Squares span contracts: maps you roll, ghosts you face, running totals, rare luck. Session cards also get a jackpot square.
3 Names make it personal

Add up to four players. Some squares have a name in them, like "[name] gets caught alone during a hunt", and each card shuffles a random player into those slots. So everyone's card is a little different.

Playing solo? Leave the names empty. The name squares drop out and the card fills with everything else.

4 Size is the difficulty

There's no line win. It's blackout or nothing, so the card size is the whole difficulty dial.

  • Single Contract: Easy (9), Standard (12), Hard (16).
  • Session: Short, Standard and Long, up to a 6×6.
5 Tick and black out

When something on your card happens, click it. The square darkens and gets stamped. A live score keeps count, so a half-finished card still means something. Fill every square and you've blacked out.

6 Rerolls

In real bingo every number eventually gets called. In Phasmophobia it doesn't. You might genuinely never face a Deogen tonight. So each card comes with rerolls, one per twelve squares, to swap out a square that's clearly never happening.

Hit ↻ Reroll a square, then click the one you want gone. You can't reroll a square you've already ticked.

7 The jackpot square (Session only)

One gold square in the middle, visible from the start. It does not count toward blackout. It's a pure bonus. Hit it and you roll a dice; whatever it lands on clears that many squares for you, free.

The catch is the trade. It's always something like "finish a Nightmare contract with nobody dying". You can go for it, but the whole time you're trying, you're making every other square on your card harder. Chase it or ignore it; both are correct.

8 Drinking mode (optional)

Off by default, so anyone can play it clean. Flip it on and the card turns into a drinking game: when a square lands, whoever it names drinks, and squares that hit the whole team mean everyone drinks. The squares don't change, only what happens when they land. Know your limits, and keep water handy.

9 Playing with friends (lobbies)

Pick With Friends at the top, then create a lobby and share the code, or join one. No login, just a name.

  • Everyone in the room becomes the name pool, so name squares use real people.
  • The host picks the settings and hits Deal everyone a card. Everybody gets their own different card.
  • A live scoreboard shows everyone's progress. First to black out hits Call Bingo, the host confirms, and the winner's card is shown to the room.
  • The host hits Next round for fresh cards. Refresh puts you back in your seat.
It's pure luck, on purpose. You can't make the ghost hunt or force a Deogen to spawn. You just hope, and hold your nerve.
